WorkAbility Lift/Carry Strength Reliability Test

WorkAbility Network appreciates assistance provided by Dr. Kari Dunning and students at the University of Cincinnati that contributed to the design of this examiner reliability and validity for Workability Lift and Carry Strength tasks.

You will need to have a stop watch to take this test. The expected time to complete this test is 15-20 minutes.

There will be a time limit to complete each section or type of WorkAbility Lift/Carry Strength Task - a maximum of 3 minutes to complete each of three lift strength tests and a maximum of 6 minutes to complete the carry strength section. Any trials not completed within this timeframe will be counted as wrong answers.

You should have ample time to view the video for each load trial at least twice, provided you work through the section without interruption.

When you are ready to begin the test, click on Student Information. This will require you to enter demographic information about yourself that is important to analyze the results of this research study. When you submit this information, you will receive an email with an access code and link that will allow you to proceed with the first test option.

There are three test options:
1. Random Pre-Test: This is for persons that have not yet taken the WorkAbility Fitness Screen Applications Seminar.
2. Post-Test with Random Load Order: This should be taken as soon as possible after completing the WorkAbility Fitness Screen Applications Course.
3. Post-Test with Progressive Load Order: This should be taken as soon as possible after completing the Post-Test with Random Order.

If you have not already taken the WorkAbility Fitness Screen Course, then begin with “1. Random Pre-Test”. After you have taken the WorkAbility Fitness Screen Course, you will be prompted to take the next two tests in order to support your request for certification in WorkAbility Lift/Carry Strength competencies.
